Requirements

Hardware capability must be given strong consideration.  Proper compatibility and speed are one of several keys required for successful operation.  Speech recognition applications will take advantage of extra computing power.

LOCAL PC

• CPU: 1Ghz or faster (recommended)
• RAM: 1GB or more
• Sound: 1 available USB port or Creative^® Sound Blaster^® 16 or equivalent sound card supporting 16-bit recording
• Storage: 500MB on local drive
• O/S: Microsoft^® Windows^® XP (SP1 or higher) Home and Professional, 2000 (SP4 or higher)
• Microphone with USB pod.  1 included with each new license
• A Web connection is required for activation

SERVER

• Zero->250MB/user depending on selected options, such as Roaming and Backup
• PCA will work with your preferred hardware vendor on specifications

As well as working with a customer's preferred hardware, PCA can supply virtually any piece of hardware necessary for implementing speech recognition systems.  Rather than having a huge laundry list of vendors, PCA has chosen a select few whose products have been performance tested.
